Elorā surfaces are designed for everyday interior use. Routine cleaning should remain gentle and non-abrasive, with sensible precautions taken to protect the finish from excessive heat, impact and harsh chemicals.
Everyday cleaning
Clean the surface with warm water and a mild detergent or gentle soapy solution. Use a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge, then rinse with clean water where appropriate and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth or paper towel.
Stains & stubborn marks
For everyday marks, use a suitable non-abrasive cleaner with a damp cloth. More persistent marks may be treated by allowing the cleaner to remain briefly on the affected area before wiping gently. Avoid scouring pads, steel wool and abrasive cleaning compounds.
Scratches
No surface should be treated as completely scratch-proof. Always use a chopping board for food preparation and avoid dragging heavy, rough or sharp objects directly across the surface.
Heat
Do not place very hot cookware, trays or heated appliances directly onto the surface. Use a suitable trivet or heat pad to reduce the risk of thermal damage, discolouration or long-term deterioration of the finish.

Avoid harsh chemicals, solvent-based cleaners, oven cleaners, paint strippers, highly alkaline products and strongly abrasive cleaning agents unless specifically approved for the product. Any cleaning residue should be rinsed away thoroughly.

Substances to avoid
Avoid abrasive pads, steel wool and harsh industrial cleaning chemicals. Hydrofluoric-acid-based products must not be used, as they may damage the material.

Terra includes genuine natural materials such as marble, quartzite, granite and limestone. Care requirements vary according to the stone, finish, porosity and any sealing treatment, so product-specific guidance should always be followed where available.
